New York Blues Hall of Fame inductees, The Bennett Brothers’ have released their first independent album - Not Made For Hire (2017) - on American Showplace Music, and grabbing the attention of blues/rock genre radio, publications and listeners alike.
Brothers, Jimmy and Peter, have performed on, and contributed songs to the first seven Alexis P. Suter Band albums, propelling the band to national and international stages and festivals, garnering several BMA nominations.
The Bennetts have also written for and/or performed with John Ginty, Bruce Katz and Sean Chambers, and were frequent participants in Levon Helm’s Midnight Ramble.
It should come as no surprise that their new album is a smash! The band is currently touring in support of the new release, which features John Ginty on organ (Allman Betts Band, The Dixie Chicks) and Lee Falco on drums (Donald Fagan & The Nightfliers, The Restless Age). Vocalist, Linda Pino makes a guest appearance on a classic 12/8 slow-blues track.
The brothers' music is propelled by Jimmy’s guitar playing, Peter’s driving bass, and their harmonies, lifting the music to a new level.
